The following is only a guide to help hosts at a rally. Please consider it as such.
I would like to thank the McClures and the Gardiners for preparing this.
There should be a Host Couple and one couple to assist. The Host Couple will be responsible for making contact with the
assisting hosts to coordinate plans for the rally. The Host Couple will keep the assisting hosts advised of plans.
The President needs to contact the Host Couple about the time of the business meeting, ect...
If anyone else wishes to have a meeting you should also contact the Host Couple.
The Host Couple will be responsible for the following:
1. Making arrangements for the rally site location. Reserve the park and work out details with the park management. It
is preferable to have a enclosed kitchen and eating area.
2. Notify the Web Site manger of the rally details so that they may be published in two newsletters prior to the rally.
The details should include a basic schedule, i.e. potluck, hobo breakfast, etc.
3. Provide at least two breakfasts and one evening meal. Meals may be as simple or elaborate as the Hosts desire. We are
not in competition with each other.
4. Purchase necessary food and prepare the meals. The Hosts will be reimbursed for expenses.
5. Choose a place to eat one night and make the arrangements.
6. Post activities upon arrival.
7. Have space available for a display of "Silent" auction items. The hosts do not have to be involved with the auction.
Unless notified there will be a Hobo Dinner on Wednesday night and a Hobo Breakfast on Thursday morning. The Wednesday
night Hobo dinner is not the duty of the hosts.
The treasurer will notify the Host Couple the number of people attending and the amount of money available. It is recommended
that no more than 75% be spent on food.
Please remember if everyone hosts once a year we will never have a problem. Experienced hosts need to team up with new
members.
Lets all have a good time.
